The Worship ministry of Calvary Baptist exists to magnify and exalt the Triune God, build up and encourage the church through times of worship and to equip members in serving God and the Church through the gifts He has given us.
The worship team has the privilege in assisting leading the congregation into the presence of the Lord each week during our Sunday morning worship services. The worship team consists of lead vocalists and praise band.
Team members are those who have a heart for leading worship and are good team players. They are encouraged to practice a personal daily quiet time as well as ongoing participation in Bible study, prayer, giving and support of the ministries of the church. It’s important that worship team members are able to follow the direction of the worship leader. Each team member must make the commitment to offer their best and submit to the leadership of the Holy Spirit as they lead worship. Leading worship is more than just musical ability and performing, it’s about God’s anointing and surrendered hearts.
Calvary’s Audio/Visual team serves to provide all forms of technical support with computers (office & assembly halls), projectors, sound equipment, and video production. They also provide presentation assistance during numerous events, including worship services, fellowships, ministry and committee meetings, and special events, both sponsored by Calvary and in hosting events conducted by outsides agencies.
The A/V Team is made up of lay volunteers, several members deep in each specialty, and participates regularly in training or upgrade opportunities.
Camera operators also record each of our services, which can viewed here on our website.
Special EventsSpecial events encompass a wide variety of events that take place inside the walls of the church as well as those that reach outside the walls of the church into the community. The purpose of special events is to provide an avenue for people to be touched with the Gospel of Christ as well as allowing our members to participate in community and church-wide events. Examples of special events can include: Christmas and Easter productions, worship nights, concerts by guest artists, taking part in downtown parades and festivals, or simply serving the community in hands on ministry.
